We have just completed on a documentary project on Peckham, South London.  On 8th December 2011 we will be having a public viewing at the Peckham Cineplex showing the collection of sixteen films which were produced by students of Chelsea College of Art.

“Consume Peckham proudly presents its third edition; co-ordinated by Kieron Dennis. This year sixteen short films have been made by graphic design students from Chelsea College of Art and Design. The young film makers have built relationships to gain access to the businesses they are seeking to understand and represent. Including an evangelical church, dog grooming salon, and a christmas decoration maker the films represent the diverse and thriving context of Peckham’s commercial activities. The documentaries also reflect how the resilience of the community has been tested by the recent riots and budget cuts; and shows how Peckham supports, inspires and provides chances for young and vulnerable residents. Seen together, Consume Peckham presents truly authentic portrait of the varied and occasionally bizarre cultural mix that is to be found in South London’s most infamous postcode.”
